    Hello,

I just graduated in December with my BA in Accounting. I was working as a junior staff accountant with a small aerospace company. I just recieved a job as a staff accountant with Tyco international. I am also currently pursuing my masters in accounting. How can I leverage my education and career to become a controller/cfo despite not having public accounting experience?

Public accounting is listed in most CFO/controller job postings but isn't a deal breaker. If you can show successive responsibility (especially supervisory experience) you can be considered for that type of position. I've got no public experience but years of progressive responsibility in accounting and am now interviewing for controller positions.
