    Hi All,

I have a few questions I would like to get some advice from you guys.
A Little bit of my background.
I am a tax manager. I have worked at a big 4 accounting firm for 7 years, another big 4 for a few months and now in private in Manhattan.

    Here is my question.
    1. I get paid 140k base + 20-30k bonus. Am I being underpaid? This didn’t come up until my colleague told me we might be underpaid. I won’t jump again because of that. Money was never an issue when I move to another firm. I am just curious as to where I stand.

    2. Honestly, I don’t love tax.. I just do it because it keeps me financially independent and that’s good enough. However, I would like to be good at what I do. I thought about MST or Law school but then I am in my mid 30.. and I am not sure if I want to go back to school and incur debt. I love travelling so.
Instead, since the firm sponsors CPE credit courses, I’d like to learn something out of it rather than just sit and get the credit. I am thinking about Becker tax cpe course. Does anyone get this before and if there is any good CPE course you recommend, please let me know. I’d love to take online or offline course.

    3. here is my resume looks like so far.
7 years in one big 4 -> 4 months in another big 4 -> now hedge fund for about 2 months.
Would it hurt if I jump after a year in my current job? I might want to relocate to either Seattle or London. I’d love to explore.. and sometimes Manhattan seems a bit overwhelming and expensive although I love it.

Thank you for your kind advice in advance.
