Hi everyone!

In a few days I have an interview at a small firm where they only have 2 CPAs. I need a year of experience to get my own license. Is it OK for me to verify those CPA’s licenses? Is there a website to do so? I’m afraid that their licenses might not be valid due to lack of CPE training. Or, they might have licenses from another state. Sorry if my question sounds ridiculous.

@Julia. It appears that you are in NY State.

NY State has a website where you can check whether a person's CPA license is active (or even valid) via their website.

Select “Accountant, Certified Public” and then type their Last Name First Name (without comma)
