So, as it’s mentioned in the title I am going to have an internship during the next busy season in a local cpa firm with the intent to be hired full time after my graduation next spring 2014. However, I am still looking meanwhile for an entry level position in a bigger cpa firm ( regional or even big 4 ). I found some positions that are added recently to the website of the firms that I am interested in , so I want to make some changes on my resume before applying. Should I add my upcoming internship to the resume ?

Although I'm not sure how a recruiter will perceive under work experience: “Future intern @ X firm”.

I wouldn't. A resume should show what you've already done. You can certainly mention it in a cover letter and during an interview, but I'd leave it off the actual resume until you've started.

I think you can mention it during interviews, but don't put on resume. It makes you look bit desperate.
