    Hi all,

just want to get some idea of BKD. It seems there are not many discussions about it. Anyone can give some insight comments on BKD.

I also want to know whether it worth the switch to International tax at BKD. I am currently doing federal compliance at big 5-ish firm.

    Any comments are appreciated.

I work in Intl Tax for a large publicly-traded corp – my advice would be to see if you could get some Intl experience where you are at before you jump to a new firm, just to see if you like it. Like any career, Intl tax does have its' pros and cons. The pros are it is in high demand and it's hard to find people with experience. I've done Intl tax since college because I like constant change. If you prefer routine, it may not be the place for you. One downside is it is highly specialized. Once you spend a few years in it, it may be harder to make a jump back to US tax if you wish to do so. Also, the jobs in the field tend to be concentrated in downtown of big cities (or nearby), as only large multinationals would have enough need to have their own in-house Intl tax people. I would imagine that most public accounting firms Intl Tax groups would be in large cities as well. Good luck!
