Hi all,

I’m currently a Big 4 employee in a large city (think NYC, Boston, Philly) and am very seriously considering moving to another soon. I have nothing against my firm and I’ve actually had good relations with the people I’ve interacted with, but simply put, the office I’m in doesn’t have the opportunities in the industry I’m looking for and I need to be closer to home because things have changed since I went through recruiting.

I also am considering switching firms only because my firm is weak in the market of my interest. My question is if there usually is demand for experienced associates (1 year or so of experience) and how much of a hurdle is changing metro areas if you have a reasonable story as to why you want to?
