Big 4 "Hourly Wage"

So I know Big 4 pays by salary but what would be the average hourly wage including expected overtime?

I ask because I currently work a private industry job for 42k, but I only do 40 hours a week. Never had to do overtime. And there’s no “busy season.”

Assuming I go get my masters to obtain networking access to Big 4, is it worth it?

The peak career potential is worth it, the computed “hourly wage” in the beginning is not. Also depends where you are, bigger cities start new hires in the mid to low 50s. So depending on where you are, the annual might actually go up…

…and nobody in public computes their hourly unless they feel like welcoming a quick bout of depression 😀

I actually computed my hourly wage when I saw this topic. I'm at a mid sized firm in IL and I've only been working 36 hours from July until the end of the year. Our firm allows us to do this because since I'm in tax, I'll expected to work a lot more during tax season. It came out to about $28/hour. However, the number of hours will go up during tax season and thus that rate will drop.
