Hello! Wondering if I could get a few opinions here:
I’m currently going into my third year at a Public Accounting firm and really don’t think I can stay for a year as senior. I understand everyone says to stay 3 full years but I am so burnt out and am going back on a Fall and Winter busy season if I stay. I don’t mind the work but I do mind the culture of how you are expected to come in on weekends and expected to work late and have no say in it etc. (I don’t mind working late occasionally or if I am working late by choice to catch up etc.)Anyway, I am mostly likely going to go into:
1. Internal Audit
2. Corporate Accounting role
3. Financial AnalystI know those are super broad categories but I am just in the very beginning stages of looking and updating my resume and am trying to figure out what what would fit me best. Does anyone have any advice they could give me or experience in any of these roles?!!? I want a better work/ life balance, more consistent hours, and a role with growth potential.
Thanks in advance!!
