Hello fellow a71ers, I think I might have gotten my big break. I managed to land an interview with an audit firm in SoCal. This is technically like first onsite interview but I feel like it might be the ONLY interview since the person I’m interviewing with is the Managing Partner. The SoCal location has a little less than 50 employees but they have several locations throughout California, hence why I’m going directly to him.

I’ve did my research on him through linkedin and the firm’s website. What else should I do to impress him? I’ve had an audit internship with a different firm in the past, how would I highlight my experience favorably upon that?

In addition to my interview, I have to take a 1 hour written test on audit & accounting procedures. Can someone who’s taken AUD suggest how I should study for this? I have taken ONE auditing class in my entire life and that class was a joke. Interview is on Wednesday, I fully intend to study all weekend and up to Wednesday morning.

Fellow comrades, I beseech you. Please help me out. This may not be my last chance, but I just want to end this journey of emailing recruiters and roaming job sites. I just want to start my life in accounting.

Hi, I’m interviewing at the same place next week. I've forgotten 99% of the stuff I studied from my auditing class and AUD so I’m pretty sure I’ll do badly on the test. It sounds like an entry level position though, so I can’t imagine they’re expecting too much from it. I'm just gonna wing it and hope they take pity on me or something.

I didn’t really give you any advice. good luck tho

How do I get Ninja Blitz?

@clownbaby, Yeah, if I have the chance to edge another candidate by doing well on the test, I will. How do you know we're interviewing for the same place? Though chances are pretty likely, given the amount of places that actually test their candidates on auditing principles.

@hasy – I believe that in order to qualify for Ninja Blitz you must purchase Ninja MCQ. It looks like you can pick it up for $47. The Ninja Blitz is an additional $127 value that is free for the next month or so.
