Hello fellow a71ers, I think I might have gotten my big break. I managed to land an interview with an audit firm in SoCal. This is technically like first onsite interview but I feel like it might be the ONLY interview since the person I’m interviewing with is the Managing Partner. The SoCal location has a little less than 50 employees but they have several locations throughout California, hence why I’m going directly to him.
I’ve did my research on him through linkedin and the firm’s website. What else should I do to impress him? I’ve had an audit internship with a different firm in the past, how would I highlight my experience favorably upon that?
In addition to my interview, I have to take a 1 hour written test on audit & accounting procedures. Can someone who’s taken AUD suggest how I should study for this? I have taken ONE auditing class in my entire life and that class was a joke. Interview is on Wednesday, I fully intend to study all weekend and up to Wednesday morning.
Fellow comrades, I beseech you. Please help me out. This may not be my last chance, but I just want to end this journey of emailing recruiters and roaming job sites. I just want to start my life in accounting.
