I am going to join Deloitte as an Audit Assistant on 01/05/2015. After navigated on Deloitte’s website, I have no idea about how audit practices is categorized in Deloitte. I am interested in Financial services. From Deloitte’s website it is really difficult to find any information about audit in financial services. Anyone works in Deloitte and please share some experiences in choosing the service line? Also which service line do you like?

I work at Deloitte in audit. When you are a first year they tend to just schedule you on any client. You don't really get to pick and choose. Scheduling is usually based on staffing needs and unless you're a senior you really don't have much say on what clients you work on.. If anyone does ask you what areat you want then you better speak up. The problem is that once they stick you on certain clients in an industry you kinda get stuck in that industry because it becomes what you are good at. When you meet with your counselor be sure to express the industry you want to work in and ask how you can go about getting assigned to clients I that industry.
