Hello all! Been awhile since I’ve been here at the forms. Currently going through a career dilemma and hoping someone can shed some light. I’ve spent a season at KPMG and BDO before BDO let me go.
Most of my audit experience is in the private equity / VC space and after BDO I took an entrepreneurial route and opened up a company that is currently profitable but having a hard time scaling it.
I would like to return to my accounting / finance roots but not in the traditional audit route because clearly I wasn’t good at it.
Is MBA required to get back to an asset management firm as an associate / analyst. Since the feeder schools to PE / HF are the top 20 how is someone who went to a state school going to get in? Any questions / comments appreciated!
