Are people in public accounting generally unhappy?

    I started not too long ago in public, and I feel that everyone in the office is a bit unhappy. I want to be more enthusiastic and make people smile more but every time I look at them they seem to show a frown or some discontent. I don’t want to be the over enthusiastic person and just be happy.

    There is one guy who walks around with his head down all the time. I looked at him and he looked up for a quick second and then back down with a sad face.
