Any Advice for Future Pivot

Right now I am working for a private company in a really specific industry and I am worried that I may not be able to step into another industry if I want to.
I never worked in public accounting (Big 4 audit, etc) or tax. I went straight to private because I love the industry. Have you guys ever seen this before? Like let’s say I love baseball and I work for the Mariners as their sr accountant. They now pay me way more than I would make as a jr auditor which is what some people say I should do for job security.
I commute/travel a lot. Down the road I feel like I may get tired of it all and just work close to home for some random f500 corp office. With let’s say 15 years of baseball accounting experience (with my CPA) would it be tough to pivot? If so, what can I do now to avoid that? Again, I love what I do and get paid well to do it but I am just worried about limited exposure holding me back. Definitely don’t want to start fresh in audit/tax and make way less than I make now, too.

    Thanks!

If you like what you're doing I'd keep doing it.

I think you could learn a new industry in short order. I would never sweat the money piece.
