I passed the 4 exams of cpa under WA state.Also,I have relocated to texas.Now, should I work to obtain TX license or just look for work experience first? Also, anyone knows voluntary organisations which allow people to work for free?Im finding it hard to find sponsors for H1B visa. If I return to India after a year or so without having an accounting experience in US, will I get a job in India?

Do master degree either in accounting or taxation. Don't worry. Definitely u will get a job. I am also in the same boat .

I am from india and doing cpa and planning to do masters. Now i am 28 years old. I studied bachelors 3 years+ Chartered Accountancy 5 years+ job in india 2 years + cpa 1.5 years + planning to do master 1 year= TOtal 12.5 years.

Even though i do have 12.5 years study + job experience in india + usa, i have to apply as a fresher.

I don't recommend to anyone doing a accounting degree. I missed a lot in my life.

With millions of unemployed Americans in this crappy economy of course its going to be hard to find a job and an employer who will pay the extra cash for a work visa. Isn't the Indian economy in a growth stage?

Yeah india is a growing market, but we married a guy who is working in usa. So obviously we have to look for a career here.

Thanks for your responses. Im planning to return to India after one year.Will i get a job there only on the basis of clearing exams or is it compulsory to obtain license??Help me!!
