I just curious….after passing the CPA exam….did anyone received any perk from their company. I know CPA firm usually gave employee bonus for passing their CPA but how about for those who in the industry?? do we get anything besides for a pat in the back and a “congratulation”?

    I don't think my company does anything…but we're a pretty small (CPA) firm…

Now that I'll have “free” time they'll want me to take a seminar and test to become a notary…I guess that can't hurt.

Pretty much it sounds like CPA firm hand out bonus or raise…while majority of industry firm give out nothing for us passing the CPA? Well that just fantastic *sarcastic tone*

I work private accounting in a small accounting department of a huge manufacturer…none one cares nor understands why i am getting my CPA…I'm just getting it for myself to make my resume alot better for future endevours…

i do have friends in public firms that got 5K “incentive” to completing their CPA designations….must be nice.. lol

I'm in industry and will receive a $2500 bonus. But I had to ask for it. It wasn't in the policy, so definitely ask! I emailed HR to see if they reimbursed fees and they kicked it up to the CAO who offered a bonus.

@eatrunCPA- so they pay for the reimbursement exam fee and offer you teh $2,500 or when you ask about reimbursment they offer the 2,500 upon passing your CPA??
