One year after landing my job, I will finally start next week. I have been graduated for a few months and have passed all four parts of the exam. I will begin as an audit associate. The first two weeks will be training and onboarding.

I’m just looking for some insight and advice on starting the first real job of my accounting career. Also, what were your first job experiences?

First of all, congrats. I remember how hard the wait was on the traditional hiring cycle!
Overall, your first 2 weeks will likely be anti-climatic. Once the trainer gets part is over things are usually pretty slow until busy season starts. If you have public clients you may be on a Q, interim, and or SOX.
My advice is to try to enjoy the downtime while it lasts. You will never have a leisurely schedule like you have as a new staff ever again!

Ah man, same boat! Finished the exams and start in less than 3 weeks now – also in audit. I've been filling my time taking a free online YouTube Excel course because my undergraduate did not prepare me well at all for Excel work, as well as increasing my business wardrobe. Best of luck to both of us! I'm a little nervous but very excited too!
