    Hi all,

I spent about 3 and 1/2 with PwC doing Financial Service Audits (Hedge Funds, Mutual Funds, etc). I got my cpa while I was there and got promoted. Then I went into Forensic Audit for about 2 and half year (very easy hours, 9-5, never really any over time). The company is a very friendly environment. However, if I stay there, I will be pigeon hole into that industry.

However, I recently got offer a position at a very large pharmaceutical company. I will be in consolidation and financial reporting group. The hours are going to be longer during quarters and year end. I have a 4 months old son at home. I was shocked they even offered me the position since I have no commercial nor pharma background and I was honest with them during the interview. Do you think it will be a good move?

    Thanks in advance.

I have an 18 months old son, after 9 months their activity level goes through the roof, and you have to spent more time observing him to ensure that he is safe. Coming home late at nights would do injustice.

Thanks for the reply. My wife is a stay home mom. I am the sole provider for the household hah. She actually wants me to go for that position due to the future aspect. In that group, I will be able to learn a lot and might be able to open up more doors in the future.
