Advice on becoming an accountant… AGAIN

    Hi All,

    I have always wanted to be an accountant from child hood. I survived the classes, graduated with a job waiting and then the recession/immigration issues happened. Im in a different indistry now for a couple years but i have been trying to get back into my true passion ive been job hunting for 3yrs no luck, every recruiter says im in a different industry.

    I have tried taking the CPA and i have failed 2 times

    Any, Any, Any Advice will help

    Someone help me i cant figure out what to do with my career

    You can still be an accountant without having the CPA license. Do you know what interests you? Tax? Audit? Finance? You could go through the H&R class and do taxes for a little while, see if you like that. If that interests you, you can take a job with a smaller CPA firm during tax season and maybe work your way up. Do you like sales? Perhaps you can focus on business development for a smaller company in the accounting industry. There are tons and tons of opportunities out there.

    Pursue an accounting position at a company in the same industry you have experience in. Also, if you are serious about the CPA then keep going for it! You shouldnt be discouraged just because you've failed 2 times.
