I recently finished all parts of the CPA exam and I am beyond relieved that is over. A BIG THANK YOU to everyone in the Another71 community for the support they have provided me during my times of studying.
Now that I am done, the next step is obviously getting my license! Now that is where my question lies.
I am currently working in NY full-time and am nearing the completion of my one year experience requirement. I have fulfilled my education and exam requirements.
But there is an imminent chance I may move back to California by the end of the year or so for personal reasons. If I do end up moving back, should I wait to apply for my license? Until I move back to CA? Or should I apply for my license in NY and then transfer that over to CA (not sure what the process is like)? Is there any benefit that I would gain (or lose) by getting in NY and then transferring it into another state?
I know that CA has an ethics requirement, but aside from that, just wondering what I should do. Wait and apply in another state? Or just get it as soon as I am eligible?
What are your thoughts? Advice much appreciated! Thank you!
