What’s the perception of accounting jobs at game companies? Worth even looking into?

I saw a position for senior staff accountant at a San Francisco start-up called Kixeye

Anyone have experience working at a game company?

And… it doesn't seem to be exactly a startup: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kixeye

Would take it any time. And, besides, it is not a start-up as MCKLT pointed out.

Apparently one of the better start-ups. I guess they're doing something right.

    Thank, applied. 😉

One thing I've seen from some of the tech engagements I've been on, is whether the accounting people appear to work for the same company as the rest of the people. ie: I was on an engagement where the accounting people were all dressed business casual (slacks, button ups) and the tech people wore t-shirts and jeans, it was weird (and they occupied one floor, so t-shirt walked past business guy on a regular basis). On another one, everyone dressed casual and the personality of the accountants “fit” with the other people I encountered throughout the business.

The zero-culture/mesh of the accountants at Company#1 vs. the people at Company#2 is something I would take note of when you're interviewing. I don't think I would like to work for a company where zero attempt has been made at building an inclusive culture throughout the company.

It looks like they're at least over 250 people.
