    Going to depend on trajectory and market (some companies have faster career growth availability and obviously some markets will pay way more than others).

    I'm at a Big4 in SF and its not uncommon for people to leave after just 3 years to Sr. Accountant type positions that pay around $100K (of course, out here that still means you're poor haha).

    I know a person who oversees corporate bankruptcy- he makes $950 per hour, 1.8M a year. He has been in the profession 25 years.

    It's gonna be regional, but in Big 4 you would expect most managers and up to be over that mark. Lawyers get there quicker. In industry, a lot of manager and senior analyst type roles get there. I'd say 5+ years usually to get there in bigger companies, longer in small ones.

    location and experience. Those 2 variables vary greatly. Such is San Fran member. They should hit 6 figures much quicker than a rep in Des Moines.

    I'm just beginning my career, but from research and friends I think you can hit $100k by your fifth year and that's pre-bonus as well.

    FAR = 86 4/22/16
    BEC = 80 6/01/16
    REG = 07/26/16

    @smartyPants – thank you so much for all the details it helps to picture and to brainstorm what should be done to get there. I have a little over 2 years and started right after graduation too and I see a lot of room to grow at my company.

    @crunchtime – I think that people in tax make more than the others thanks for the response.

    Another route is to own your own firm. My boss is the only owner he hits 6 figure revenue with just 3 clients. We have over 1100 clients as of now.

    I own my own service ( 20 years)…My plan is to go from bookkeeper to small CPA firm. I do tax and bookkeeping but how will I get the experience signature?….my only concern other than passing this rowdy thing.

    It begins with a 75
