1+month audit

    It’s been more than a month since the audit started and they’re still arguing about certain things (classification and valuation). Is that normal? I always had the idea that an audit lasted 1-2 weeks, may b 3 at the most, so may be I need to start looking for another job…..lol

    That's normal, depending on the size of your company. I worked on one audit for a college for at least a month. Also, where I work now, we get audited all the time and it's not uncommon for the auditors to be here 5-6 weeks.

    @Markiux I'm an internal auditor for a fortune 500, and I've had a couple audits that drag out about 3 months… but you are right, ideally, an audit should last no more than 3 weeks LOL
