150 Credits VS Passing the CPA

    Hello,

I have already passed FAR and taking my AUD exam on Friday. Should I pass (which I plan on doing *fingers crossed*) I will have a choice to make, complete my CPA over the summer or go back and take the remaining 9 credits which I need to hit my 150. My question is what will improve my marketability with public accounting firms more, the fact that I passed my exam and need to take 3 more classes or having my 150 credits and having only two exams left? Any insight is welcome.

Are you not working this summer? If so could you take the classes and study? I know there are people around here who are working, studying and taking classes. It can be done…might be something to consider!

I'm working full time, I am also planing on taking REG 7/2013 and BEC 8/2013 so I am giving myself very strict deadlines (I do best work when I don't have time to mess around). I did take classes, work, and go to school in the spring, but summer courses tend to require more hours every week, which could be my study time. I'm really not trying to start giving up sleep or burn myself out, and I feel like REG & BEC in 3 months on top of a full time job is pretty rigorous as is.

You're working against an 18 month clock to get all 4 exams passed. Make passing the other 2 exams top priority. You can always take 1 class per semester while taking one exam per window. I was in school and working full time (and then some) while I was knocking out the exams..

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75
