Switching Firms

    A little background about myself…

I have about 1 year of total Big 4 Auditing experience which includes a busy season internship and about 7 months as a new associate. I have been through 2 busy seasons and am now considered an experienced associate. I am looking to relocate but do NOT want to stay with the same firm.

Will I have a hard time finding work as an experienced hire with a different Big 4 firm?

Will it look bad that I am looking to switch firms after 1 year or will the firm be glad to have someone with previous big 4 experience?

I would appreciate feedback from anyone who has been in a similar situation or knows someone else who has successfully made the switch with only a year or so of experience. Thanks!

I don't think so. I'd make sure to have a good reason other than what you've mentioned though.

Just curious, seeing that a firm “culture” is more of a function of the specific office, clients, and team, why NOT stay with the same firm?
