How do you feel when you receive review notes?

I have been in public accounting for 2 years and still nervous and have hard time when receiving review notes. Yesterday, I heard a story. A Senior Manager at 1 Big4 received over 100 RN on working paper for cash, yes, for cash from Partner. That was the time she decided to quit.

I agree. My beef is it seems some reviewers use RN as a way of expressing bullying/intimidation/general all around not-nice type of attitudes.

I'm annoyed when I get review notes for items I left notes to the reviewer for. Usually when I'm uncertain about a specific item and made a decision to treat it one way. Overall just having managers not even look at the notes I left.

Some reviewers are better than others. I don't mind receivjng long review notes from some people because they are always constructive and helpful. Others are just nitpicking and a waist of time.

Cuzzourt: I'm on the same way. Ok, I understand the person does not do the work and have less time than me to grasp thing, that's why I always try to be in their shoes and document as easiest to understand as possible. However, not just few times, I got RN asking for information that was right there, in the wp, just because he/she did not bother to go over >”<.
