rejection – is it too late?

I recently got rejected by a Big 4 for a experienced hire risk assurance position. They said my background did not match the process assurance position. The more i think about it, i blame myself for not prepping better. I have 1+ yr exp in general assurance with a small regional firm and have no concentration in any industry. Can anyone tell me if it is late to be applying for a Big 4 position for this recruiting season?

I've seen PwC's risk assurance jobs posted recently and I'm sure it's not too late.

I believe the reason they're not hiring you is because of insufficient experience. As far as I know, they want people with 5+ years of experience.

Actually, i got denied by PwC. it was for a ITGC type position and i knew my background in general audit was not really a match. I don't think they are going to reconsider me for any other position this season. So i am basically looking into others.

I have seen experienced positions open up at Big 4 companies year round. Check out indeed.com to track down positions. You might also want to consider second tier companies. They're more willing to give applicants from various backgrounds an opportunity.
