This may sound crazy but what happens if you reject the offer after you sign & submit the offer letter through their system? I’m talking about a Big Four here. Would they come after and sue me? Very unlikely I guess. Anyone who has this experience?

Nothing. They will replace you.

Unless you signed a CONTRACT, either person can cancel the agreement.

Same as you can quit the first day on the job or they can fire you the first day on the job (or the 100th day on the job) with or without cause – it's at-will employment, unless you have an actual contract.

That being said, it will burn bridges. I wouldn't expect you'd get an offer from that B4 again, and since people know people, there's a chance it would harm your opportunities for other firms in the city as well, depending on where the people that interviewed you end up working etc. That's a “worst case scenario” type thing, but it's possible.

I highly suggest you don't reject the offer after you sign it unless you want to get blackballed in the industry.

Go for it. The worst that will happen is that firm won't hire you again in the future, but big deal. Sounds like you have a better opportunity anyways. They will not sue.
