Hi , Hope every one is doing well.

Its been quite some time since i have completed all the exams and looking for a job.

I have a professor who is presently a partner in PWC. I asked him for help in getting a job and at first he kinda refused saying entry level jobs are reserved for local nationals only (Which is actually the same with all the big4’s i my location) and he did gave me ideas on trying other then big4s and moving here after i get 2-3 years of experience. Mean while when we where talking , i mentioned that i have also completed CISA to which he suddenly asked me for my CV , wrote a big note on it and went to the other room and asked me to call him after a week . When i called him he said you will receive a call from them .

Its been almost a weeks now and i haven’t received any call yet . Should i wait.

If i do receive a call, will that call be as a phone interview or just asking me to come to the office ? How does this work actually ?

I’d wait, Big 4 recruiters are so busy with screening countless candidates that it takes a while to get around to contacting you. If you have a partner that is referring you, I would think they’ll call eventually. I doubt it would be a phone interview right away, but they probably will ask you when a good time would be to have a phone interview. If you pass the phone screening, they will offer you an office visit.

I was referred by a friend to apply for a job on Tuesday. However, this job was posted in March. I don't know if they still hire people. Anyone knows the process of experienced hire?
