    Hey Ninjas

After two weeks of waiting and a brief phone interview, I was invited to interview with a partner and a manager in the office. The interview will be 30 minutes each. I suspect that there will not be many behavior questions but rather casual questions. Also, I have looked at glassdoor and sometime they might ask you some technique questions. (for example: define goodwill). how should i prepare myself for this interview?

    Any tips/suggestions is greatly appreciated

You got the hardest part out of the way: getting the interview. When I interviewed for 2 Big 4 firms, they mixed up casual and behavioral questions so definitely be prepared for anything. We also discussed the market for the group that I am placed in. I think the most important thing they look for is personality. Be the person they want to work with. When it comes down to it, personality and fit are the most important factors. Express enthusiasm and willingness to learn. Let your personality shine. Good luck!

Smile non-stop and portray a happy, easygoing person which hopefully you are. Also know about the position you are applying for through and through, and have questions lined up to ask the interviewer at the end of each interviiew. Be able to answer the “Why do you want to work at (insert Big4)” and “Why are you interested in (insert line of service)?” Other than that, based on personal experience, expect questions to be 50/50 behavior and casual.

I work with one of be Big Four companies and I got the job because at the interview I had a good attitude and was fairly pleasant. Public accounting takes a lot of commitment and you spend a lot of time working with your team so it's imperative that you have a good personality and can get along well with your peers.

Oh…and don't come across as a robot. You're talking to people, so blinking, moderate hand gestures and a smile go a long way. Good luck 🙂
