Most people starting out at B4 have the summer off to study, what % should I expect to have finished their CPA on day 1. What % would you guess have 2 passed? 3? How about After one year? Thanks!

    Done: 10%

    2-3 sections: 25%

    1 section: 30%

None: Whatever percent is left, I'm not good with numbers

Actually, 2-3 should be lower, 1 maybe a bit higher

Wow, that strikes me as low. Do other people agree with this estimate?

I was done with the CPA exam before I graduated the master's program, but I found that in the Big 4 firm I work for, there were about 16 new audit hires and 4 advisory hires (me being one of them) when I started 2 years ago, and I was the only one who had all his exams done upon starting (so what, 5%?). That being said, there were several that had 1-3 parts done and very few that had none.

Seems surprisingly low. Im a new hire for September and I'm taking all 4 parts this summer. If you have a job lined up for the fall wouldnt you be able to just take the CPA exam in the summer?

I'm starting Big 4 in October and am taking all 4 before I start (how many I pass is a different story haha). I interned there last summer and I was shocked by the number of 2nd year Associates who hadn't passed yet. Not because they weren't capable, just that they hadn't sat for them yet. Almost none of the 1st year Associates that I talked to had passed all 4.
