I’m a new hire and gonna start in January. I plan to take my last part in January. Is it okay to take an exam during busy season or I’m wondering do you need to work on Saturdays for the first two weeks of January? Since my other two scores gonna be expired in March… have to nail this one down in the first window…

It depends. 4th quarter payroll returns are due at the end of January, as well as 1099's. I am scheduling an exam on January 10. I scheduled an exam this year in early February and found it extremely difficult to come out of the test exhausted and gear up for an intense tax season.

@czcz8821 – I agree with @anothercpa23. January is generally pretty slow. I also work at a top 10 accounting firm and new hire hours as less valuable than a CPA pass. Go get it!
