I’ll be working at EY this January and I wanted a laptop bag for Christmas. Then I got to thinking that I might be given a computer for work that might be a different size than my Macbook. For people who work at EY, what kind of laptop are you given and are also given a bag? For auditors, do you take your computer home every night?

You'll get a thinkpad computer, a privacy screen, and a laptop bag. Make sure to go to the IT guys and request a mouse and usb 10key (or the big calculator 10key).

And yes, I take my computer home every night.

I work at EY and have a IBM ThinkPad. They will give you a bag. As I work in Hong Kong for banks, I got only the choice for the standard bag. No casual here, even on Friday!

I don't need to take it back home every night!!!! I can let it at work or at the client's place if I return to the same place the day after… In this case, do not forget to require a lockercable to the IT 😉

That might fly in Hong Kong, but we'd be in deep boo boo if we left our laptops at the clientsite or office

I leave my computer at the client site every day. If I'm not at the client site, I leave my laptop at the office. Make sure it is secured by locking it to the desk or something.

Just don't want the wrong information to spread. I'm out of the NYC office btw 🙂

Thanks for all of the responses! I actually did just get my on boarding email and can choose between a laptop case, backpack, and ladies tote. Decisions, decisions! I'm excited, nervous, and slightly dreading my new job. Dread, only because I'll be starting in the thick of things.
