To be blunt zchen, if it went really well you really shouldn't need to bother him about a referral, he would simply give you simply give you one.

Basedo on your discussion, what next steps was it left at? Did he say he would send you a referral link? If he left without giving you any guidance it's probably a bad sign.

Idk, I asked him for referring an entry level. He said he would put my resume into their system and put some good words for me.

Zchen have you sent a follow up note/email thanking him for his time and telling him what a pleasure it was to meet him? Extend the courtesy of an acknowledgment and end with a comment about following up on the internship.
Someone will chime in with better wording.

If you have graduated, then I suggest reaching out to alumni from your school. After you connect on LinkedIn, it would be helpful if you sent them a message introducing yourself and asking to pick their brain. Also, try joining some professional organizations (like Ascend for Asian-American professionals) to try to meet some new people.
