How long to hear back from Big 4?

I finished my interview over two hours ago and haven’t received a phone call. The job status on the web site hasn’t changed either. The HR manager who walked me out said I’d hear today or Monday. Has anyone ever seen the job status on the web site change before finding over the phone?

This has got to be a joke?

I don't know how you ever survived/will survive the wait for CPA scores at this pace…

Dude, like the other posters said, BREATH and calm down. Give yourself some credit that you just completed an interview at a Big 4 accounting firm. Let the chips fall as they may now.

I just heard back – 4 hours after interviewing and received an offer from PwC. EY (who I had a phone interview with two days after PwC) just emailed saying they still wanna set up an office interview. Too late for them.

Just curious as to why you wouldn't even be interested in talking to EY? Surely nothing is final with PwC until you get a written offer I would assume?

They kind of pressed to me orally accept the offer on the spot over the phone. Prior to that, I asked them if there was something I needed to fax back. She wanted to tell the team that I have accepted. She then said the offer will show up electronically Monday afternoon and the offer has been extended to Monday. I didn't say any more. I guess I'm supposed to accept by Monday whether or not I see the offer lol.

    congrats labrui06!!

I'm pretty jealous! Would you mind telling us a little bit about yourself, your background, school, gpa, etc etc.

I wish I was in a position to be recruited by the big 4

graduated from college with a 3.7, worked in economic consulting and big law firms, went back to school to take classes to sit for the CPA, made major progress toward passing the CPA, which impressed them in their feedback…I also think PWC is very superficial…meaning, looks count a lot

labruin06, did you go back to school to get your masters? How did you get through to apply for PWC & Deloitte, was it through campus recruiting? Or did you apply as an experienced professional?

Any advice that you can pass over would be greatly appreciated.

I applied as an experienced professional…just start passing or keep passing CPA exams and that will get their attention
