Hi guys,

I just got office interview with Deloitte last Friday, Oct 10. They told me it would take up to 2 weeks for the result. I have another offer coming up that I need to reply to them. Do you know when Deloitte let you know about the result? Should I call them and ask?

I'm somewhat in the same boat as you, and I was advised by others you should let Deloitte know you have an offer on the table and tell them the time table. It won't hurt your chances. If they really liked you then they will speed up the process and give you a offer. I have two offers and I have my interview tomorrow at PwC and I'm going to tell them I have a week and half to decide. I've heard from many people if they really liked you, you could have received a offer that day you interviewed or sometimes it takes a week or so. Def call and tell them your situation, be honest.

Thank you so much for your advise. I have just called Deloitte, the recruiter told me I should get the result at the end of this week or on Monday. I told her that I need to know in order to make decision for other offer, she said she will try to find out as soon as she can. I'm so worry now. I have applied for all big4 but Deloitte is the only that I got to the second interview. I heard that sometimes they let you know about the result right after the office interview. I guess my chance is really slim now. :((. But thank you for your tip. 🙂

tcn, that is not necessarily the case. I recently received two offers from big 4 firms and none came the same day as the interview. I interviewed at both locations on a Friday morning. I received an offer from the first big 4 on a Wedensday and then told the other big 4 that I received an offer and received an offer by Friday.
