    Hi All!

I’ve noticed that when I’ve meet people from Deloitte Audit there position is Assistant or Senior Assistant when referring to audit and not Associates. Does anyone know anything about this change?

At Deloitte it goes: audit assistant, audit senior assistant, audit senior/auditor in charge (no CPA), audit manager, audit senior manager, director/partner/principal.

Other firms have 3 years associate instead of 2 before becoming a senior.

Source: live with people that work for these different firms.

Yeah its assistant, not associate–associate sounds a little fancier, but in reality they're all the same function

Bizarre, I was thinking why Deloitte would make this change. I mean the title Audit Assistant vs Audit Associate sounds less prestigious in my book. Maybe Deloitte is hard-core pursuing Consulting and wants to differentiate its business. Maybe Deloitte will get so big they will divest themselves of audit and do merely consulting?!
