I’ve received and accepted an offer for the Tax Technology services line from one of the big 4. They were primarily looking for people with dual or minor in both accounting and computer information systems and eligibility to sit for CPA.

I have my BA in accounting from nearly 9 years ago and I am currently doing my MBA in CIS. My current GPA is okay: 3.69 at the time of interview, expecting it to drop to 3.55-3.60ish during this last semester before the hire. However my concern is for my old undergrad GPA which was only 3.089 with the accounting major GPA well below 3.0. This information was not disclosed on my resume.

Is it customary for those companies to ask for my old transcript and should I be concerned that they might rescind the offer upon discovering my mediocre performance in undergrad?

While we do always leave a contingency in offers with students returning to school for GPA drops going from a 3.69 to a 3.55 likely would not trigger that. An undergrad GPA from 9 years ago plays very little into the decision to hire experienced hires which is likely why it wasn't brought up, not likely to be a big enough factor to retract your offer unless something else happens related to your grades in the meantime, if they ask just be prepared to discuss non-defensively, the factors that played in to your GPA at that time vs. your GPA now (ie. you worked full-time and went to school and were involved in X number of extracurriculars, or you weren't sure what you wanted to do with your life yet and you weren't fully dedicated to your studies at that time, but as you can see by your improved GPA in your graduate studies when you returned to school with a focus your grades and discipline improved…blah blah blah). Whatever is honest and non-defensive and shows growth, if it comes up, it will likely be a complete non-issue if handled maturely.
