Chance at Big 4 without Recommendation?

    Does anyone have any positive experience or stories about getting into a Big 4 after college through online application?By after college, i just mean getting in without campus recruiting.

    I have about a year and a quarter and a small regional firm in tax but I have had my eyes set on getting into a Big 4 for some time now. I have been hesitant to apply online because i fear it will go unseen given the reputation and number of candidates applying. Also, I have passed 1/4 CPA exams.
