Pass the CPA exam before you start if at all possible. Thank God I did because those that decided that one more summer with their friends, backpacking through Europe, sleeping, etc, are hating life right now. I can focus on learning the job and actually go home to sleep when I get off work. I’m working a Q3 and still putting in 50-60hrs per week. I don’t mind the hours but it would majorly suck if I had to go home and listen to Tim Gearty. So if you find yourself flirting with the idea of putting it off until you start, might be a good idea to rethink that one.
