I’m looking to work in NYC and I just wanted to get your opinions/general consensus on who the best big 4 in the area is. I’m talking about the OVERALL prestige: audit/consulting/tax/advisory, etc.

My guess is that it’ll either be PwC or Deloitte?

PwC. They have the Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan audits. The fish in water when it comes to banks and high finance groups. Deloitte's national growth is mostly fed by consulting firm acquisitions. 3rd or 4th in audit/tax. For consulting do Bain/BCG/McKinsey. Additionally, focus on the divisions you'll work in as the division means more.

Just checked and you're right. they do have GS and JPM, and BoA, AMEX… fricking crazy…
