When you are trying to get into a Big 4 co. does it matter which level of staff (associate or a senior) you get a referral from? Also, how long is the typical wait time before you can expect to get a phone interview? Btw, i am applying for a first year staff position with one year exp in a regional firm.

In general, the higher the level the quicker the referral process… but it also depends on hiring needs (probably most is here). Even a referral by a manager may take time if there is little need in the office. Given that, any referral is beter than no referral.
