Hi everyone,
A friend of mine working at a Big 4 firm referred me to a Risk Assurance position.I had the phone interview last week with the Senior Manager.
I will have an on-site interview next week. Can anyone give me any tips or advice to ace it ?
I’m a little nervous and worried about my accent because English is my second language.

By the time you get to the in-person, they clearly know that your qualifications are good enough. They just want to get to know you. So a lot of behavioral and work experience questions. “Tell me a time you solved this or deal with this”, etc. I would google those.

The best advice to really give you is to be yourself and show them that you're really interested in this position and how well you can perform it based on your previous work experience. Don't worry about your accent, if they don't understand something, they can ask you to repeat it.

Also, you're also evaluating them too to see whether you want to work for them as well. Don't forget that, so have questions of your own (at least 3).

What level are you going to be coming in as? Do you have experience in this area?

I was referred to EY's Risk Assurance practice by a friend and came in as a Staff 2. I worked as a software developer before this and had absolutely 0 experience in the field.

My in-person interview was with a senior manager and executive director. I was asked a few technical questions around different types of controls. Nothing to serious, they are looking more for a personality than anything. Each interview was probably 30 minutes long and I had an offer the following day. The interview with the executive director was us just talking for 15 minutes then for the last 15 minutes, he walked me around the office, introduced me to a few of the other members of the risk assurance practice and that was it.

@abranaugh I will be interviewed for Staff 1 position. I had a little Accounting/Finance experience through internships only which may not count since it's a Staff 1 position. I expect to have a fresh start and learn new things. Did you have a case study ? I read from some website that some people had 3 on-site interviews including 1 case study. Also, may I ask which EY office you are working at ?
