    Hi

I just interviewed for a big 4 ( E&Y- NY ) for a position of an experienced hire in Advisory yesterday, i met a manager , and 2 partners. The interviews went of well ( or atleast i think so !! ) They asked me to walk through my resume, why Financial Services and a few behavioral questions.

I sent out my thank you letter immediately .

How soon does one hear back from HR on if they plan to make an offer or not ………..

Canson : yes, please. My email is NChoney@gmail.com

As for Reg, I would at the least follow whatever Phil says to do/know because from my personal experience, he was right on the point. It's a lot of information and I spent about 4 hours daily for about 2 months studying for this and at the end of the day, it's all about short term memory because in real life, you can always look up tax law. I personally think that as long as you are able to understand the questions being asked on the wiley book and wiley test bank, you will be fine. I hope this helps.

@canson16 Nice! Glad to hear they got back to you relatively quickly, I've heard ppl had to wait a few months.

Having an internal employee reference lowers the wait time significantly. Benefits the employee as well with a referral bonus =)

Enjoy it! hehe EY is known for its culture and flexibility in the work place. I think that's a huge reason why I stayed these 2 years. I work in a small group so we really get to know each other really well. I've forged a lot of great friendships these past few years and you should def throw yourself out there and meet as many ppl as you possibly can. Great for networking 😉

Congrats on the offer. It's definitely a great move.

I was an experienced hire through a Big 4 audit firm in Los Angeles. I too was an employee referral and received an offer the same day I had my in-person interview. I think it depends on need at the time of the interview in conjunction with how well you interview. If you’re a slam dunk hire, they probably don’t see a reason to wait to extend an offer. I guess it all depends. I’ve been here for about a year and don’t plan on leaving anytime soon.

Hey CA_Future, do you have any way I could talk to you about opportunities at the Los Angeles office. I am rather interested in that location and my email is patelneil89@gmail.com. Thanks
