Hello A71,
I received a tax season internship job offer from a mid sized firm in SF for $23/hr. Not sure if I should accept or push for a better offer. My long term goal is to do tax for a big sized accounting firm and specialize in the tech industry. =)
My question is what do I have to do to push for a big sized firm considering my background? I’m thinking of taking this internship and come April push for big 4 as an experienced hire.
My specs include: UCSD degree, Accounting GPA 3.4(cumulative 2.5), 2 years internship government sector(bank reconciliation), 6 months temp industry(SAP,AP,AR,G/L), and cpa exam candidate(have my NTS).
Also, I recommend checking out a website called payscale to check how much your job is worth.
