    For those in the big 4. What accounting software is currently being used? What computer based skill are essential in the big 4? Thanks in advance.

    Excel, Excel, Excel.

    It amazes me how little some schools prepare people in Excel, if you aren't at an intermediate level, do yourself a favor and grab a book. Adjusting to working FT and then some is hard enough will have some decent Excel skills.

    Other than that, some Word, and our proprietary engagement management software (currently transitioning from a very simple program, to a not so simple program LOL)

    Yes, engagement management software. I was going to add that tidbit in as well, but I wasn't quite sure how to explain what exactly that is. PwC uses Aura, which looks basically like a Microsoft Office program. You can't really train beforehand how to use it, since it's proprietary as far as I know.
