    To summarize:

-contacted partner through Linkedin and said I was dying to work in public acg

-partner asked recruiter to contact me

-after e-mails and two phone call recruiter said all positions are filled, but there could be some openings because things can happen

-recruiter tells me to e-mail him every two weeks to see if anything comes up

-he said he wants me to go to one of their offices one of these days for a screening interview, but he could not give me a specific date

Note: B4 does not recruit at the university I went to (FGCU-Dunk City) =P, so I’m kind of excited, but confused at the same time.

Has anyone been through something similar?

    CPA for life...

When I got my recruiter they asked me to come in and meet with them and send them my resume. After the meeting with them they started to send me on interviews and screen me for jobs. If this recruiter works with other firms they may be able to help you find another position if one is not available at the original firm you contacted.

Go meet with them it can only help!

    Good luck!

    A - 61, 91!!
    B - 78!
    F - 76!!!
    R - 71, 73, 74, 69, 77!!!!

    Finally done!

This is my 2nd attempt at the exam, I had two parts passed (failed many) and I stupidly quit, big mistake. Now I'm back and with a vengeance!

Are you sure you want to work for public practice? 😀

Too much work, low payment compared to other places.. (at least that is my experience) and I don't know how many years I have in that area..

    Wish you good luck!

Congrats! Don't be too confused. The main recruiting season is in the Fall so internship/full-time spots are most likely accounted for, but turnover is always happening in Big 4 so spots open up and close quickly. Try to fit them into your schedule if possible. They want to see if you have any experience or if you fit their office. Personality is a big factor because they potentially have to work with you 55+ hours a week. Be personable. Also, keep in mind that recruiters can be a great resource or your worse nightmare. Be kind to them.

Big4: yah can be low pay, yah can work too much, but you have a job…… and you can gain experience that otherwise would not be available

    BEC (11/17/12): 88
    AUD (1/18/13): 76
    REG (2/27/13): 88
    FAR (4/15/13): 90
