I am currently pursuing a career in public accounting. I live in the suburbs of New York. I have realized that most firms will require me to travel to NYC at some point. Try to register on upwork. I think you can find work on distance and stay at home without going back in late evenings.

Hopefully, I found myself in another sphere. Thus, I started to work as a teacher of financial accounting in University here in Chicago.

I suggest you to think about changing your sphere or looking for work in upwork. Maybe you will find something there.
