So long story short, I applied and got an offer for the office in a particular city because my girlfriend got a job there first. Now, we just broke up the other day, and I would now prefer working in the New York office due to familial ties and it being where I grew up.

Would it be a good idea to ask if it’s possible to change the office I’ll be working at? Or would it be better to start off at the original office, and eventually transfer?
