What are the Big 4 application deadlines for audit staff? What about Fall 2016? When is the deadline for Winter 2016? It’s not stated any of the applications. Looking at accounting forums, some people talk about said deadlines, but I don’t know how they know about them. I’ve thought about just emailing recruiters directly to ask but I’m not sure if that’s a good idea. Seems like a dumb question and I don’t want to annoy them. (“Herp derp am I too late lol”) Thoughts?

What are the start dates for fall and winter? I know fall is probably in September. Does winter mean early 2016 or late 2016? Srs.

For Big 4, I'm pretty sure start dates for audit are around late september I'm guessing? With orientation and training end of september and ready to work first week of october for Q1.

Winter 2016 means currently this winter. From my observation, Big 4 and public accounting in general have a major recruiting season during the fall (let's say Fall '15). They are either looking for Winter '16 interns (Jan-March/April), Summer '16 interns or entry level staff to start Fall '16 (Sept/Oct). In rare cases, you might even start the Audit Staff position Jan'17.

There is another recruiting season that happens in the spring and Big 4 do not recruit heavily (for audit/tax at least) for the summer or fall. There may still be some Fall '16 openings depending on their budget.

Bottom line: it's way too late for Winter '16 internship and many of the Audit Staff positions for Fall '16 are filled but you may still have a chance. I interviewed this past summer at a Big 4 to start in Oct but unfortunately I didn't get it.

Again, this is just from my observation. Maybe someone with more experience/knowledge can fill in.

I'm a few years out of school. I have a couple of years of audit experience, but it's in government, not public accounting, so I need to start as a staff. I've also passed the exam so I'm hoping that will help.

So far the only big 4 that is recruiting at my school right now for summer/fall 2016 full time audit hire is deloitte, it has an early February deadline. Don't know if it varies by location.
