Can someone please tell me if the Ninja notes are worth it? I have less than a month to retake Reg and the Becker material is just so much info. I’m looking for something that is straight to the point and written in easy to read terms as opposed to the complicated textbook language and is something manageable to read over and over in under a month. Please would love the input.

I used ninja notes for BEC and they helped a lot with the conceptual stuff (not so much with the formulas because I had already memorized the formulas from the becker book). To go off what DeterminedCPA said, if you dont have time to rewrite the notes, I would at least rewrite the IT/COSO portion because the notes do a good job of outlining those concepts. I took the exam in August, and I remember I had a lot of COSO questions!! So make sure you are comfortable with the IT/COSO concepts

Re-writing the notes is a waste of time IMO. I did rewrite them for REG, but I realized that if I read them and really thought about the material instead of reading the notes and daydreaming my comprehension and understanding of the material was just as good as when I had re-written the notes.

It varies from person to person. Some remember what they hear. Some remember what they read and some remember what they write.

I think I am going to start by writing the sections where I am weaker, and then if I can tell time is going to be an issue then I will just probably start reading them and making sure I get it.

You get unlimited free updates, so you don't have to wait till 2015. The way I use them is by taking notes on them while answering questions wrong. I end up having about 100 pages of notes and it's a good manageable final review of all material the last day or two before the exam.

I did what CPA soon did. I converted the Ninja notes to Word and added my notes into it. I think it made a big difference!

I felt that they helped me a lot on REG specially with all the basis rules. I think they are worth it. The are straight to the point and they simplify some of the concepts.

@NancyD, Yes the notes are worth it, they keep me focused and I result to them if I get stuck on the mcq's. I feel your anxiousness. Mind you that the notes are scaled down do they are not going to cover every topic, but the mcq explanations has helped me tremendously. I don't think the notes are a bad investment with the mcq's. I hope this helps.

Thanks guys! Just purchased them! I feel pretty good on the material I just need some extra help and motivation to keep going. I've been scoring in the 80s on MCQ and I just kind of had a panic attack during the exam when the time ran out.
